Baudilia's Salpicón

Baudilia's fruit salad evokes the place where I grew up: Valledupar, a magical place full of fruit trees and a sweet aroma that is felt when the morning dew runs through the tree-lined streets. The dancing mangoes transport me to an extraordinary paradise that inhabits my imaginary world.

I remember my grandmother crocheting, sharing anecdotes at her doorstep with her favorite group of women—her daughters and granddaughters, each with her own art. Cross-stitch, embroidery, and fabrics were combined, while an old sewing machine set the rhythm. We delighted our palates with tinto, salpicón, peto, and the delicacies she prepared with love.

Those moments left an indelible mark. A legacy that is now reflected in each piece of this collection.

Like Baudilia—that Afro-descendant woman from Popayán who conquered freedom with her fruits and ingenuity—this jewelry is born from a deep observation of nature, from more than 50 sketches, and from the desire to transform the everyday into eternal art.

Handmade in Barranquilla, Colombia, with its soul placed in the Caribbean.

Each piece is unique. Like her. Like you.
